History
The Society was formed at a meeting of mathematicians and physicists in Canberra, September 1994. Its official name and constitution were adopted at its first General Meeting in Adelaide, February 1996.
The website of the Society was previously hosted at the University of Canterbury, and at the University of Adelaide.
